| Doc Faust! A Wild Western Musical |
|
After many years traveling around the West selling his Famous Miracle Cure, Doc Faust fetches up at the out-of-the-way Arizona town of Heart's Desire, where he takes a shine to the Sheriff's daughter, Helena. She, alas, seems more interested in Cornelius Valentine - a young man recently arrived from the East to edit the Heart's Desire Epitaph. Accepting that his powers have waned, Doc Faust retires to the desert to lick his wounds. There he encounters a mysterious black-clad stranger who believes he can help the Doc revive his fortunes. There will, however, be a price to pay... Soon the Doc and his new-found partner Memphis are headed back into Heart's Desire - and you can bet your bottom dollar that life in that sleepy no-horse town ain't ever gonna be the same again.

Reviews
A witty and entertaining musical with catchy tunes and snappy dialogue, this is a rip-roarin' good yarn. A slick and enjoyable treat that will have audiences yelling "yee ha" all the way home.
- The Stage
A feast of colorful characters and catchy tunes. This must surely be on the most original adaptations of the Faust legend so far.
- Southern Daily Echo
I can't remember a more enjoyable night in the theatre. The tale unfolds with Western panache. Complete with gunfights, saloon girls and of course, lurve. Great numbers... the fun and action flag.

| Figures of Speech Theatre |
Figures of Speech Theatre, founded in 1982, tours locally and
internationally with ground-breaking performances that incorporate
drama, puppetry, masks, music and storytelling.
'Cupid & Psyche'..where actors and gods, puppets and people, music and magic all come together in this classic myth. But be prepared for the unusual in this time-bending production: Venus has an agent and Zeus wields a bullhorn. Each has plans for Cupid and Psyche, whose search for love rings as true today as it did 2000 years ago. Cupid and Psyche celebrates the human spirit in the best kind of tale: a love story with a happy ending.
Reviews:
".....a terrific show, a fantastically creative combination of puppetry, dance and drama. The sets, costumes and puppets show an impressive level of artistic skill and are supported by a script that combines the lyric romanticism of a classic love story with whimsical humor." - S. Swarthout, Director, Discovery Theater.

"Figures of Speech is one of the most artistic and unique puppet theaters in our country. This highly creative team has produced some of the most interesting work I've ever seen anywhere. Their company and they themselves represent our country with distinction." - Allelu Kurten, Secretary General, UNIMA USA
"An extraordinarily powerful work...and a creation of love. The reviewer can only carry back fragments in an inadequate basket made of words; see this work firsthand for that moment of understanding." - The Express, Bethlehem, PA

Review:
Dreaming of Summer is a solid and extremely enjoyable collection of solo piano songs, played with a breezy yet heartfelt sense of assurance by one of the people I respect most in this industry. Robin Spielberg is about as real as it gets, folks. Fans of her music will doubtless fall in love with her latest CD. And those who just discover her with this recording will be bewitched as well, I'll bet. All in all, this one is a keeper - play it on rainy afternoons, during late night musings, or just when you need the company of a musical friend. Recommended, obviously"!
